Description
PRE-REQUISITE: This series is for school teams who have previously completed NDMTSS Developing Schoolwide Behavior Expectations / NDMTSS Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) Tier 1.
DESCRIPTION:
From foundation to finesse—elevate your PBIS impact. This multi-day, virtual professional development is designed for school teams that have completed initial PBIS implementation and are ready to refine their systems. During this webinar series, emphasis is placed on leveraging a strong Tier 1 foundation to implement Tier 2 interventions that provide focused, small-group support for at-risk students and help prevent the need for more intensive services. Participants will collaborate to share strategies and problem-solve challenges.
OBJECTIVES:
Coaching for Fidelity & Consistency Learn coaching strategies to support staff in teaching and reinforcing expectations. Use observation tools and feedback protocols to improve practice.
Refining Expectations & Systems Analyze behavior data to identify gaps and successes. Adjust expectations, teaching plans, and reinforcement systems for greater impact and equity.
Introduction to Tier 2 Supports Understand the Tiered PBIS framework. Design Tier 2 interventions such as Check-In/Check-Out, social skills groups, and targeted reinforcement. Align Tier 2 with schoolwide systems.
