Description
Literacy data is everywhere, as are the tools to generate and analyze them. But often, there are so many data points they become overwhelming. In CoachELA '25- '26, literacy teams will be treated like the rock-stars they are as they learn how to untangle their K-3 literacy data and execute more data informed decisions at all levels of your system. This series is specifically intended for elementary level literacy teams, with a K-3 focus.
IMPORTANT: Learning is stronger and implementation is often easier when a team attends together. For this reason, please register a team of colleagues to attend together (minimum of 2 people per school). Consider the individual roles suggested below (please note that some individuals may hold more than one role):
Decision Maker/Administrator: change is often the most meaningful and sustainable when someone with the authority to direct time, money, and staff participants in the learning and brings it to scale. An administrator is required to attend.
Data Strategist: an individual who can access the data for all grade levels and knows how to maneuver within the data system is crucial in this learning.
Title/Interventionist and Special Ed Representation: these educators and leaders are imperative to help align data sources and instruction across all tiers so that all students receive the literacy support they need.
Grade Level Teacher Leader or Coach: this individual is often the engine that drives data based-decision making so that educators can be most effective and efficient with their time and energy.
